FUROSHIKI JAPANESE GIFT-WRAPPING WORKSHOP
Australians use over 150,000 kilometres of wrapping paper each year, which is enough to wrap around the Earth's equator nearly four times! Most wrapping paper cannot be recycled.

Furoshiki is a traditional Japanese gift-wrapping technique that reduces waste in a fun, sustainable, and unique way using cloth. It’s a beautiful way to wrap gifts, and a useful activity during the cost-of-living and waste crises.

Using stylish pre-loved scarves, you and your friends and family will learn how to creatively wrap your presents inreusablee scarves and give amazing-looking presents. Furoshiki is not only a new holiday trend, but it’s the new culture wave for gift-giving. The cool part is that with this new skill, you’ll never have to buy wrapping paper again.

Join this workshop for a fun arts & crafts vibe that’s an important part of the circular economy.
