Bayside city council sustainable fashion restyling Nina Gbor 1

Calling all Local Young People (ages 12-25) to join our sustainable restyling workshop with Nina Gbor from War on Waste!

Sometimes we get new stuff when we’re bored of our clothes or when we have an event to go. This leads to more stuff we don’t need and therefore more fashion waste that pollutes the environment. Enter the art of sustainable restyling. What if you could create fresh ‘new’ outfits from your existing wardrobe that also work for your events without spending anything? Come to this workshop where Eco Stylist, Nina Gbor will show live, practical restyling demos with models where you’ll get easy and simple ways on how to use 1 garment in at least 5 different ways for different types of occasions.

Bring a small or medium sized suitcase filled with a mix of different types of clothes and accessories. You’ll learn how to:

· Make your wardrobe feel ‘new’ to you by restyling (mix, match, layer and accessorise)

· Fall back in love with the stuff you don’t want anymore and give them a second life

· Create a lookbook album of outfits so you always have the perfect outfit every day or for every event

*If you don’t have a range of clothes to bring to this workshop, please come along anyways because you can still learn and participate. Everyone is welcome.

Register now if you are interested in attending this workshop, spots are limited! If we have spots available we will also accept sign-ups on the day.

Please ensure you arrive to the event by 3:30pm. You can register here.
