CLOTHES SWAP & STYLE

It’s time to start prepping for our Spring Clothes Swap with a closet audit to choose your best unwanted pieces for the swap. Not only will you get to zhuzh up your wardrobe with some fabulous new preloved clothes, there will be a brief sustainable styling workshop by Eco Stylist, Nina Gbor. You’ll learn a few basic tips for building a sustainable wardrobe. As this is as much a fun party as it is a clothes swap, there will wine, soft drinks, snacks and tons of fun. So, book your tickets, gather your swap clothes and bring your girlfriends to this exciting. We welcome and encourage ALL dress sizes to attend. Hopefully by the end you’ll have a wardrobe ready for Spring!

With the fashion industry being the 2nd biggest polluting industry in the world, we hold clothes swap and sustainable styling workshops as alternative options for sustainable clothing. They help minimise fashion waste, support a circular economy and reduce the amount of clothes that go to landfill, therefore reducing greenhouse gas emissions. (At the moment we’re throwing away 6,000kg of clothing every 10 minutes!)

HOW THE SWAP WORKS

1. Bring 1 – 15 items of clothing or accessories to add to the swap collection pool.
2. Please note that the clothes swapping will commence after the intro, welcome and brief styling workshop at the beginning. During the swap, guests can try on any garments and accessories and then take home as much as they like.
3. At the end of the swap, participants can choose to take home remaining items they brought that have not been taken or they can leave them at the swap to be donated to charity.
